Robert Mayers is a London-based graphic designer. He has built up a portfolio of work for cultural organisations, not-for-profit ventures and localised incentives to encourage a more responsible, greener and kindhearted world.

Over recent years he has developed technical and conceptual skills across a range of sectors and is always looking to take on new skill-sets.

Practical Skills

Client liaison and presentation. Preparing, packaging and sending documents to print.

Thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, FTP, Adobe Camera RAW, MS Office – on both Mac and Windows platforms.

Hardware knowledge includes SLR photography, digital darkroom, screen printing, book binding, embossing and metalwork.

02/10 – Current

Robert’s largest undertaking to date; the first graphic designer employed by the brand new, start up company. Their mission is to support local businesses, reward greener purchasing habits among residents and assist councils in delivering accountable business support strategies. “Robert will be writing the visual manual for the company.”

Planet Innovations

07/09 – Present

The not-for-profit company promote discussion on the subject of climate change as well as enabling scientists, engineers and designers to have their ideas judged by an online community of experts, lecturers. Robert developed their branding and website.

The Risk Advisory Group

05/09 – 08/09

The Risk Advisory Group is an intelligence, investigations and security company, to which Robert produced information presentation packs.

The Japan Society

10/08 – 09/09

The Japan Society is the leading body in the UK dedicated to the enhancement of the British-Japanese relationship. Robert re-designed the society’s identity and stationery, created an interactive website for both the members and staff.

Crystal Palace Diving Team

04/08 – 03/09

Initially taken on to update their current website, he was then given the opportunity of a complete redesign.

Compass Film

04/06 – 09/07

Robert volunteered his services to the not-for-profit cultural organisation during university. He designed their logo, festival programmes and promo-flyers.
